The International scientific and technical conference “Computer Sciences and Information Technologies” (CSIT-2008) will be held 25th – 27th September 2008 at Lviv Polytechnic National University. The organizers of the conference are Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Lviv Polytechnic National University, Institue of Computer Sciences and Information Technologies.

The aim of the conference is to highlight and discuss the most important achievements in computer sciences and information technologies and to define prospects in their development. Scientists form Ukraine and abroad are invited to take part in the conference.

It is planned to hold round-table discussions with the Ministry of Education and Science representatives, eminent scholars, lecturers of educational institutions and ²Ò-industry, where a discourse of quality increase and education effectiveness in the IT field and cooperation with science, education and industry will take place.

Plenary Session will be dedicated to the reports of the invited eminent scholars.

The working languages of the conference are Ukrainian, English, and German (latter concerns Applied and Computer Linguistics section only).
